If you wish to reuse and reactivate a Solstice software license on another PC/machine, you must first recall the Solstice software license from the host PC. When you recall a license, that license then becomes available under the same license activation code. The same activation code can work depending on how many available licenses you have.
If you are re-imaging or reinstalling the operating system on a machine, you must recall the license first in order for it to be available to use again. You must also get the fulfillment ID for the software using the same activation code and license as the one you want to recall. Each software license has a specific fulfillment ID associated with it.
How to Recall a Software License
- Open the Solstice Dashboard and go to the Licensing tab.
- Select a software display and click the corresponding Device Info button. The Device Info pop-up appears.
- Write down the Fulfillment ID that displays, then click OK to close the pop-up.
- With the software display selected, click the Recall License button.
I didn’t recall the license before re-imaging the machine. Is there anything I can do?
If you did not recall the license before re-imaging the machine and have subsequently lost [access] to the license, the Mersive Support team will need to look at your licensing information in our system.
I recalled the license but when I go to re-activate the software, I’m not seeing it.
If the software if not seeing the license, you should first make sure that the software license has current maintenance. If the maintenance is out of date, the software will not see the license when you go to reactivate it. If your license is out of maintenance, contact the Mersive Support team for assistance.
