# Fifteen years, one platform story.

Mersive Solstice taught the market wireless collaboration. Mersive Polaris is what it grew into: same mission, same sky, next platform generation. This page is the story; if you’re ready to move your rooms, here is [how](https://www.mersive.com/products/transition).

One path, fifteen years of light. The sky behind it is the real one: follow the Dipper’s pointer stars and they land on Polaris.

## What carries forward.

The names change; the muscle memory doesn't. Three things move with you.

### Your rooms

Mersive Solstice Gen 3 hardware has a mapped transition path and remains supported through 2029. Polaris Pro continues the line your rooms already run.

Rip and Replace gives you credit toward Polaris Pro or Polaris Essentials when you replace your existing collaboration system. That includes systems from other vendors and Mersive Solstice. Mersive sales determines the credit for each project.

### Your workflows

Walk up, share, sources side by side on the display. The habits your users built on Mersive Solstice work the same on Polaris. The workspace simply evolved around them: web-join, the Dock, cross-network reach.

### Your management

Mersive Solstice Cloud keeps running your Gen 3 units exactly as today, linked straight from Polaris Cloud: one starting point while rooms move generation by generation, with none of the tooling your team knows going dark.

### Why the name?

Mersive Solstice was named for the sky, and so is its successor. Polaris is the fixed point the whole northern sky turns around, the star every navigator steers by. Fifteen years of Mersive Solstice taught rooms to share wirelessly; Polaris is the generation where the room itself joins, hosts, and carries the meeting, the one reliable point in a shifting sky of platforms, networks, and devices.

One company, one mission, one platform generation to the next. The name is the promise, in writing: whatever the meeting runs on, the room holds steady.
