# One platform. Choose your power.

Right-sized hardware for every room, one platform underneath. Every tier is a full Polaris citizen: web-join, workspace, cloud managed.

## The three Polaris tiers

### Launch

Share-first · one-time purchaseShipping Q1 2027

### Essentials

The workspace for every room

### Pro

BYOM + enterprise networks

Buy the tier your rooms need today. Every Polaris runs the same platform, and most upgrades are a license change. Where a higher tier needs more connectivity (dual networks, HDMI input, dual displays), your partner swaps the pod and the license moves with you.

Plain language: 802.1x means the network itself demands the device prove who it is before granting a port; EAP-TLS is the strongest way to prove it, with a certificate instead of a password. Dual-network posture means the device sits on two networks at once, corporate wired and guest wireless, kept isolated, so guests share without ever touching the corporate LAN.

Hardware that does not vary by tier — the 10-year platform lifecycle, the invariants it holds constant, and the current silicon — is documented once, on [the Pro spec sheet](https://www.mersive.com/pro/spec#platform-lifecycle). Fungibility is **within** a tier: Pro and Essentials are not interchangeable, and the rows above are why.

**Replacing an existing system?**

Rip and Replace gives you credit toward Polaris Pro or Polaris Essentials when you replace your existing collaboration system. That includes systems from other vendors and Mersive Solstice. Mersive sales determines the credit for each project.

### Hybrid additions HOST SHIPS Q4 2026

**Link** (the pod hosts the call) extends a **Pro** fleet. Link is a software bridge between the laptop in BYOM and the pod, and the pod is what controls the room’s cameras and peripherals — which is the Pro. **Host** (the room hosts the whole meeting) extends **either** tier, because Host can carry the peripherals itself: on Pro they connect directly to the pod and the cables stay at the front of the room; on Essentials they cable to the Host, which pairs with the Essentials unit, and that means a cable to the table. Larger rooms will usually want a Pro for exactly that reason.
